ANGELS APPEAR

Hebrews 1 verse 14 "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"

The following is a testimony of two incidents where I believe God sent an angel to minister unto me:

In July 1993, I was driving down the highway during a blazing hot day. There, beside the rode, was an elderly gentleman hitchhiking. He was dressed up in a suit and had a small bag of belongings with him. The Lord spoke, and said, "Pick up this man." At this command, I stopped my old Datsun truck and offered him a ride. He gladly accepted as he pulled out a handkerchief and wiped the sweat from his face. I introduced myself and asked him where he was going. He said he was going to Washington, D.C. As he began to talk, I felt the presence of the Lord. This man was of a swarthy complexion. He said he was an Eskimo and came from Puerto Rico where he had been in seminary. He showed me a military identification card that reflected that he was a retired Colonel, U.S. Marines. He spoke 12 languages fluently. As I pondered this information, this verse of scripture popped into my mind, "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares" (Hebrews 13.2). The Lord spoke to me and told me to take him the forty miles to Jesup (Amtrak station), and to give him that $100 I had in my pocket. I obeyed. Out of the mouth of this man came answers to some of my prayers I had prayed. One of these prayers was about going to Washington, D.C. I later went on this mission, and the Lord used me in a great way.

On 28 February, 2004, after church, the Lord spoke to me and told me to go to Ocala, Florida, about 160 miles from where I live. I packed a few belongings and drove on down there. When I arrived, I asked the Lord where to stay, and He directed me to the old Ritz in downtown Ocala. I booked my room, and looked around at some of the sights. I retired for the night, and woke up refreshed. I went down to the area where they served a continental breakfast. The attendant and I were the only ones there. I got a cup of coffee and a few pastries, and sat down. Soon, in walked a young woman whose presence filled the room. She had the brightest blue eyes and a glow about her. There was a karaoke machine there, so I asked her, jokingly, if she was the singer. She then begin to sing a beautiful song, I Can Only Imagine, a song about heaven. When she sang, it was so beautiful and peaceful. I talked with her some about the Lord, and relayed some of the burdens I was going through. She told me that God loved me, placed her hand (the warmth of her hand was incredible) on my heart, and said, "You are a good man. God loves you very much and will take care of you." She then departed and I was left with a lasting impression of God's wonderful love. About an hour later, I went to my truck to leave, and there, posted on my window was a note. It said, "God said to me...with all the riches you've stored...you've got so much rewards to choose from...and all you want is love..You shall have it." I still have the note. I never seen her again (she could have been anywhere between the ages of 18 to 30). And the Lord has showered His love upon me. I am blessed.

A TRICKLE OF ELECTRICITY

Luke 17.6 "And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea and it should obey you."

During a period of unemployment, money was scarce. It was summer in south Georgia and was hot as blazes. The air conditioner in that old trailer where we lived was humming away, straining to keep some cool air in that hot box. I've seen the temperature inside the trailer soar to over 120 degrees when the air conditioner was not running. Despite the cost of electricity, I continued to run it. I knew my electric bill would be high yet I had faith that God would make a way, somehow, someway. I had prayed.

Well, the money for the electric bill never showed up and as I watched the Georgia Power man drive up, I had a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. I could do without electricity but I was a single parent with three children. How would my children take a bath? How could I keep food without a refrigerator? All kinds of thoughts ran through my mind on how to cope with this additional trial.

As the man cut off the source of electricity on the electric pole, my faith almost completely disappeared. The children were upset and the devil whispered, "You are a bum, look at you, God didn't help you...he's disappeared. You are on your own. You sure are a failure!"

Yet, I still remembered my prayer and I still had a small hope that God would work in my behalf. Not even thinking straight, I took two slices of bread and popped them in the toaster. In a couple of minutes, they popped up, crisply toasted. Imagine my surprise! My heart soared as I opened the refrigerator and the light came on. I rushed throughout that little trailer turning on switches. Some worked, some didn't.

What the Lord had allowed to be left on was the refrigerator, four receptacles, and the hot water heater. I had a gas stove so we could still cook.

A couple of weeks later, the money arrived to catch up the bill. When the Georgia Power man came to cut the meter back on, I met him, and said, "I've got to be honest with you, for two weeks we have had some electricity. You need to read the meter as I owe you for this electricity." He looked at me in disbelief and said, "That's impossible. I pulled this meter and inserted plastic strips so no contact with the electric source could be made." I replied, "You better look again." He looked closely at the plastic strips and noticed two tiny pinholes. This allowed enough contact to provide the essential electricity we needed to get by. He looked at me and with a grin said, "The Lord was looking after you. There's barely enough reading on the meter to report. You won't owe any extra." As he drove away, the story of the mustard seed came to my mind. Yes, God can and did make a way!

A couple of years later, sitting on the back porch of the bigger place the Lord gave me, I observed a storm approaching. It began to rain as the thunder roared, and the lightning struck. I always liked to watch this fantastic display. It reminds me of God's power and majesty. A display like this was far more spectacular than any fireworks show I've ever seen. Suddenly, I heard a boom like the roar of a bomb exploding. It was loud and near. A split second later, my porch shook as a great ball of lightning the size of a pickup truck hit a pecan tree about 100 yards away! It was intensely blue like the flame of a propane burner. Needless to say, that 70 plus year old tree was fried. Within days, the leaves began to turn brown and fall off, and within a few weeks, dead branches were falling.

As I saw this, I thought on that time those two tiny holes on the plastic strips allowed enough contact to continue to provide electricity and how the great ball of lightning represented just a small portion of the power of my God.

Job 38.35 "Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?"

Toilet Paper and Other Roadside Gifts

Matthew 6, 31, 32: "Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things."

I was a single parent with three children, and we were out of toilet paper, and I had no money to buy some. I prayed and asked the Lord to give me enough money to make it through that day. Shortly thereafter, a friend of mine called and told me if I did a little work for him he would pay me $40. As I drove out to his farm, I was thinking now I could buy some toilet paper. About five miles down the road, I spied something beside the road. It looked like a grocery sack. I came to a stop, backed up, got out of my car, picked up the bag, looked inside, and shouted, "Praise the Lord!" Inside the bag was a brand new packet containing eight rolls of toilet paper! You can't tell me that the Lord is not concerned with every detail of your life. I had tears of joy in my eyes as I placed that precious gift in my car and drove on to my friend's house. The Lord not only gave me a small job so I could have some money, he also gave me something more precious than gold. The eight rolls of toilet paper revealed his great love he has for his own.

I had planted a garden and needed some fertilizer. I didn't have the money to buy it, so I asked the Lord to provide it. My children sure enjoyed fresh squash, silver queen corn, and watermelons. Once again, I drove down this country road, spied something out of the corner of my eye, stopped my car, backed up, and there, just for me, was a 50 pound bag of fertilizer. That example of God's love not only strengthened and encouraged me, it also made my garden grow.

About a year later, a friend of mine called and wanted me to go with him to Hazlehurst, a town about 50 miles away. I said, "Okay", and drove on out to his place. I had forgotten to place an ink pen in my pocket. Usually I carry one and a small piece of paper to write my thoughts down. I said nothing to my friend but to the Lord I said, "Lord, I need an ink pen."

We started on our trip to Hazlehurst. My friend was driving, and I was thinking he was driving too fast and maybe I should be driving. I've learned if you drive the speed limit you get there just as soon, and you don't have the worry that you'll get a ticket. About 15 miles down the road, my friend suddenly whipped the Camaro over on the shoulder, stopped and said "You drive."

I got out of my door and went to get in the driver's door when I glanced down in front of me. There, pretty as you please, was a brand new gold Cross ink pen! Out of all the spots my friend could have stopped, he picked (God moved on him and he didn't even know it) this spot. The Cross brand of pen reminded me of the Cross where Jesus died for our sins.

A few months later, the Lord told me to take the tractor and bush hog and go mow down by my neighbors. There was an old cemetery on their property and the road leading to it was overgrown. It was a beautiful place with hundreds of pecan trees and three or four old buildings. No one lived there. Mr. and Mrs. Fussell had passed and their children lived in other states. John, who lived in New York City, had asked me to keep the lawn of the brick house mowed and gave me permission to go on the property at any time (to keep an eye on things).

I began to mow. I mowed around the old buildings and cleaned up the road to the cemetery. I was thinking, "Lord, I've done used about $10 worth of gas doing this." As I made the last round, I glanced up under a nearby pecan tree and saw a green piece of paper. I stopped the old red Ford tractor, turned off the green John Deere mower, and walked to the tree. Sure enough, it was a ten dollar bill!

I could give you hundreds of more examples how God has given me "roadside" gifts and provided the things I needed. Looking back, it still amazes me when I think of how much God cares for and provides for his own.

Matthew 6.33 "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

SATAN'S SUICIDE DEATH ANGEL DEFEATED

THIS POEM IS BASED ON A TRUE EVENT (SEE STORY "A SUICIDE PREVENTED")

The Lord told me to get up and go
To minister to a soul under Satan's control
The Holy Spirit guided me
To her house, I drove to see

This poor soul who was in the dark
In her yard my car I did park
Satan convinced her that her life was over
The suicide death angel around her did hover

An overdose of pills she did take
An end to her life she thought to make
I took her to the emergency room
Her stomach they pumped, saved her from doom

The Lord's timing was oh so plain
That night Satan was defeated, hell had no gain
Later this woman was born again
A new life with Jesus she did begin

So another Jesus fan was made
For her soul the ultimate price He paid
I'm so glad that I am the Lord's man
He uses me to tell others of salvation's plan

Joel

Joel
Jehovah is God

Joel 2.28: "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions."

My son, Joel Lamar Rozier, was born June 20, 1977 in Augsburg, West Germany. We were so happy to have a new addition to our home. Joy (Joel's sister) was kind of jealous. He took away some of the attention that she had all to herself. One day, after Joel had been crying, Joy said, "I don't like him, take him back to the hospital."

Joel was almost six months old when we flew back to the United States. Germany was okay but it was not the United States.

Joel had the blondest hair, the bluest eyes, and the cutest dimples! He sure was a pretty baby boy! His mom doted on him. I did too. As a young child, Joel didn't begin to talk as soon as Joy. He babbled and when he talked, his mom and I could understand him. He also had a hard time of distinguishing colors (slight color blindness).

He celebrated his fifth birthday at the airport in Los Angeles, California. We had driven cross country, with a brief stop in Roswell, New Mexico, where my mother-in-law lived. We also stopped and spent two days near Phoenix, Arizona where my first cousin, Master Sergeant Lee Johnson (retired, U.S. Air Force) was stationed.

I got a kick out of Lee. he took me around town and showed me some of the South Georgia style barns he had built. Lee could build and fix anything. Often, he made more money doing this than what the Air Force paid him. we had a very good visit with lee, Charlotte, and the boys. We were stationed in Germany at the same time and visited each other there.

Joel started kindergarten, and his speech impediment was such that other kids made fun of him. He wouldn't talk in school. He went through speech therapy for several years which helped much.

Joel was eight when I became a single parent. He missed his mom but he went on and whatever he tried he did it with all his might. Joel is a whiz on computers and also has a wonderful business head.

When Texas Instrument put out their home computer, we got one. I built a computer desk and began to learn how to program. My typing skills are more or less hunt and peck, so I had to go slow on all those "$Q/?" symbols (on a program).

One morning, I went downstairs, and there dressed in one of my old Army T-shirts was Joel. He was sitting at the computer console with the instruction book nearby. He would look at the book, type a few symbols, and grin. He was hooked and only seven years old. He became a whiz, and with his mathematical abilities, soon knew a lot more than I did about computers.

He was also developing his business instincts. i would find my granola bars missing---he would take them to school and sell them for a quarter. Joel collected, bought, sold, and traded many items over the years...comic books, baseball cards, video games. He's always had two nickels to rub together.

Joel was also very diligent about his school work. He would get up in the morning, get himself dressed, make his breakfast, and go catch the school bus, "the cheese wagon" we called it. From the 7th through the 12th grades, he only missed two days of school (that was in his senior year when he had an awful virus). During this time, we were going through some rough times.

One day, i was down and out. I was severely depressed; I was broke, and it seemed like troubles came one after another. Joel came to me and said, "Dad, I've got $25. You take it and go out to eat and buy something for yourself." That gesture blessed me more than any words could tell.

I was teaching the children about interest. Eva had $10, and I told her if she would let me borrow it, I would repay her $11. Joy had $20 and I told her I would repay her $22. Joel had a least $30, and I told him I would repay him $33. He thought for a minute and said, "How much interest would you give me for loaning you $37.53"---all that he had.

The Lord has blessed my son with many talents including musical. He is very good at all the wonderful electronic musical instruments he has. He is always buying, trading, selling and upgrading his equipment. I wrote a song, "When Will the Answer Come", about prayer and he put the music to it. When it is played, you can feel the presence of the Lord.

When Joel graduated from high school in 1995, his day was made when his mom came. Her presence made him very happy. Like many young people, he was lost after high school and didn't know what direction to take. I prayed earnestly for him, that God would lead him in the right path. Shortly thereafter, he worked at a retail store where he made a solid reputation for himself. He was hard working, dependable, courteous and honest.

One day, he found almost $300 in the store. he turned it in. He also found a very valuable watch and turned that in as well. After working there for awhile, he tried some other things, but he wasn't satisfied.

I remember taking him down to the cemetery where my dad and other relatives are buried. I said, "Son, Daddy was 40 when he died, my Grandpa was 43." I pointed out some of my other relatives and then said, "Son, I want to tell you something about our family. First of all, we believe in God, secondly we believe in our family, and thirdly, we love our country. If you stick with these three things in life, you will never go astray."

Shortly thereafter, Joel entered Waycross Junior College and graduated concentrating his studies in math, computers, and business. After this, he went to Valdosta State University and graduated in December 2004 with a degree in Business Administration with a major of Marketing.

As a teenager, Joel was born again. He has compassion in his heart for others. He knows how to pray, and God has given him wisdom.

I can't live my son's life. I have told him I've lived mine, and he has to find his way. I also told Joel despite all the hurts in his life, Jesus can wipe away all the tears.

When I was his age, I had no earthly father. I've told Joel and my daughters, that as long as I'm alive I would be there for them. I also prayed like my Daddy did and said, "Lord, I've only got one son. I dedicate him to you. Use him as you see fit." I'm proud of Joel---a fine young man!

Proverbs 5.1 "My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding."

Update....Joel helped me with my book, My Walk with the Lord. This story appears in it...He and his sisters were raised by me in a single parent home..Despite being deprived of a mother's presence, my children were taught about Jesus and his love. Pray Joel gets the right job.

America Needs the Lord

America Needs the Lord

Lord you spoke into existence the heavens and the earth
Created nations, people and gave America birth
Since 1776 America has been a free land
Our forefathers recognized the creation of Your hand
Many prayers for America have reached your ears
You have kept her safe throughout the years
You have raised up leaders for our nation
For a season and a time them You did station
Now it is the year two thousand and four
America needs your presence even more

America needs the Lord to heal our land
Please, O Lord, stretch out Your healing hand
Without Your presence America would fall
Because of this unto You we do call

Since America's beginning, we have had many wars
We have lost many Americans, boys and girls
O Lord, don't let those deaths be in vain
Comfort their loved ones and heal their pain
From Massachusetts to Oregon state
Upon the prayers of Your people You do wait
Your eyes roam to and fro throughout the country
To show Yourself strong to those who pray to thee

You said if you shall ask you shall receive
Deliver America, O Lord, from those who do deceive
In the troublesome days that lie ahead
Give us day by day our daily bread
America is still under Your amazing grace
Let us not forsake to seek Your face
A great awakening is what we need
To Your Word, O Lord, America must heed
Greed and strife has a strong hold
In the land of the free and the home of the bold

The Archie Perry and Ruth Gill Winn Family Tree

I was blessed as I can be
When I was born into the Winn family tree
Although Rozier is my last name
My mama was a Winn so this name I claim

Grandpa Winn was a mighty good man
Granny Winn could make some pretty good jam
These two were a loving pair
With their family their love they did share

They had eight fine children born to them
Grandpa had several brothers, one named Jim
Archie Jr., Leo and Jasper were the boys
Irma, Hazel, Mildred, Mary and Ida gave them many joys

From this fine family came many kith and kin
All from the family with the last name Winn
Now they are spread far and wide
One of the son-in-laws is named Clyde

I remember gathering for Thanksgiving day
In Jacksonville, Florida I would eat and play
With all my cousins whom I truly adore
We would walk down to that little store

On Buffalo Avenue sits their little home
Aunt Mil still lives there, Grandpa had a bald dome
The family cemetery, New Home is the place
Many kin are resting there, they have run their final race

One day I hope to see them once more
At that family reunion on that golden shore
Where separations will be in the past
At home with my family at last

PRAY FOR ALL WHO READ

My prayer is that any and all who read any of these words would be encouraged. They would realize the importance of having a relationship with the Lord, and that they would understand the fact that we are just pilgrims and strangers here on this earth.
